My Faith

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I absolutely love it with 100% of my being. I was born into the Church and chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. However, my conversion didn't come until I was much older than that. I reached a point in my life where I had to decide if I was going to keep believing what I had learned all growing up or if I wasn't.

So, I put it to the test. I began learning anything and everything I could and really dove into my study of the Book of Mormon. I read and listened to countless talks, devotionals, and articles written and delivered by numerous general authorities and church members. My prayers became more sincere. My desires started growing. My habits and goals changed. And I became happy. Like, really happy. I realized that my testimony had always been there, I just needed to find it and put it to use. Ever since then I've striven to continue developing and strengthening my testimony.

I know that we have a Heavenly Father and brother, Jesus Christ who love each and every single one of us dearly; more than we can even begin to imagine. I believe in the power of the Atonement. I believe it is real. Change is possible. And it is never too late to come back. Because Christ suffered on the cross oh so long ago, we have the beautiful blessing of trying again. And again. And again. Our sins can be forgiven and in the eyes of God, forgotten.

I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have a deep love for each of us and I've been able to feel a small portion of that love throughout different times in my life. They truly yearn and ache for the day we will return to Them; when They can take us in Their arms and never let go.

I don't believe that life will ever be easy, but I do believe that with Christ, all things are possible. I've seen firsthand the never ending blessings that come from putting Christ first. I know that joy abundantly flows into our lives as we grow closer to God, even through the pains and trials of this life.

I love this Church - even more than I know how to put into words. I strive daily to share my testimony and love for Christ by my actions and words. I can't wait for the day I'll get to thank my God for all He's done for you and I. But until that day, I'll show Him by living what I know and believe.

  1. it's Hollie. I love how strong your testimony is and how happy you always are. I strive to do my best. I strive to stay away from Saran as much as I can. As I read my scriptures more now I do feel closer. However I know I need to strive to do more than just read my scriptures. I also love the gospel it fills my life with joy and happiness. Thanks for your stories and examples to me. I love you!
